Photo documentation of my ongoing public art series featured in my July 2025 MFA exhibition: A Strange and Generous Kindness. Embodying the persona of an iconoclast punk, I sought unorthodox modes of transcribing an orthodox message. These small, intimate scale blessing relief print tags represent mark making as gentle presence. The blessing tags are enacted along routine paths, in suburban and downtown areas of Orange County. I chose ordinary and neglected thresholds and interstitial surfaces and objects to create a sacred geography of imagination in the hope of generating new pathways for encountering God’s loving presence and inhabiting deeper states of grace.
